We understand choosing an education program is an important decision. Please look through our website, call our enrollment coordinator, Jill Sill, with questions and plan to attend either our Saturday open house or information night, both planned for late winter. Following these steps will help you decide if Woodland School is a good fit for your family.

As a public charter school, we hold a lottery to determine placement within our program after determining the available openings. To be included in the lottery, you must submit a completed application form to the Woodland office by midnight the day prior to the lottery. A lottery is held each March.

Applications, information night, open house, lottery details, and dates become public every January.

2017-2018 Enrollment

The lottery for the 2017/2018 school year took place on March 17, 2017. Applications are still being accepted. Applicants will be added to the wait-list in the order they arrive.

Or email: Jill Sill at jsill@woodlandschooltc.org.

How does the lottery work?

Woodland follows specific Charter Lottery Guidelines. Applicants are assigned a number and drawn randomly.

When will I know if there is an opening for my child?

Calls regarding lottery placement will begin on Monday after the lottery and continue until all applicants are called. It typically takes 2 - 4 days to complete this process.

How does the wait-list work?

If there are more applicants than openings, a wait-list is created for each grade. Placement on this list corresponds to the order the applicants were drawn.

If my child is placed on the wait-list what are the chances they'll get in?

This very common question is impossible to answer. Typically, there's movement between the spring lottery and the beginning of school. We cannot predict when, what grades, or how much movement will occur. Please know we'll call you if there is an opening.

If one of my children is offered a place within Woodland, are all of my children in?

Placement of one child does not guarantee placement for other children within the same family. We strive to keep families together when possible.

If an opening does occur for my child will Woodland School contact me?

Yes! We'll call immediately. We strive to have our enrollment set by the beginning of the school year but occasionally there are changes during the last week of summer break and the first week of school.

Can I call the office to check on my child’s status on the wait-list?
